Strategic Biomass Solutions
The purpose of the Strategic Biomass Solutions program is to strengthen targeted biomass research and development among Mississippi universities and the private sector to break down the hurdles to commercializing renewable energy resources. Biomass involves converting biological materials such as livestock and food processing waste into energy. Biomass research and commercialization may someday reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil while creating value-added opportunities for Mississippi farmers.
